1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Mornvexed (“we”, “us”, “operator”). Contact for legal notices is via the official project channels listed on the Service.
2. The Service
Seldorak is a solo arcade fantasy game and related surfaces (landing pages, character tools, fan forum “Gate Hall”, blog “Road Notes”, and optional AI features). The Service is provided as a hosted online product. Features may change, expand, or be retired as we improve the cabinet.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s consent and supervision. Do not use the Service if you are prohibited from receiving online entertainment or payments under applicable law.
4. Access tokens and payment
- One access token unlocks thirty (30) days of play access (or the period shown at purchase). The USD price of a token is set by us and may change; the current price is shown on the payment screen.
- Payment may be accepted via card processors, Lightning, Bitcoin, USDT, or other rails we enable. Crypto transfers are final once confirmed on-chain; wrong network or address can result in permanent loss of funds.
- Play access is implemented as a signed session cookie (the “pass”). We may revoke access for fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or Terms violations.
- Saves are portable files you can export. A pass grants time-limited hosted play; it does not transfer ownership of our software, art, or world IP.
- Except where required by law, token purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted. If a payment fails or is reversed, access may end immediately.
5. Your conduct
You agree not to:
- Break the law, harass others, or post illegal content on Gate Hall or elsewhere;
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, reverse engineer for a competing product, or attack the Service;
- Circumvent payment, rate limits, or access controls;
- Use automated means to spam the forum, blog, or game APIs beyond ordinary personal use;
- Upload or generate content that exploits minors, or that we reasonably consider extreme hate or real-world illegal activity.
We may remove content, mute accounts, or ban access at our discretion when needed to protect the Service or other players.
6. User content (forum and similar)
If you post on Gate Hall or submit other user content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate that content as part of the Service. You represent that you have the rights to post it. We do not claim ownership of your original words; you remain responsible for them.
Community “regulars” and scripted or AI-assisted posts may appear to keep the hall lively. Treat advice as unofficial unless marked as operator/desk content.
7. AI features
Optional features (for example companion dialogue, NPC talk, combat banter, chargen portraits) may use third-party AI providers (including xAI / Grok). AI output can be wrong, uneven, or unexpected. Game rules, checks, and save state are adjudicated by our sim, not by the model. Do not rely on AI for legal, medical, or financial advice. Rate limits and feature flags may apply.
8. Intellectual property
The Service—including software, rules content, world lore, artwork, trademarks, and documentation—is proprietary to Mornvexed unless expressly stated otherwise. No license is granted to copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the product for commercial or competing use. Personal, non-commercial fan discussion of public materials is fine; wholesale asset dumps or rehosting are not.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent storage on our servers, or that AI features will meet your expectations.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR ACCESS TOKENS IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Effective date” on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply. Courts in that venue have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those protections.
